Location helps the quality of any cup of coffee. You can have cup of expired instant coffee next to a waterfall in the middle of nowhere. And it will be the best cup you have ever had.
Taking my coffee into my day hikes has become a great part of my ritual on my trips. I started leaving the house earlier and earlier, It made more sense to bring coffee with me.
Some time I would like to get to the designation and enjoy my cup there. Other times I juts make some coffee while I’m shooting a time-lapse. It has become my reward for the hike and a great moment of peace while I’m out.
Im bringing my GSI pour over, Primus stove, MSR fuel, enamel cup all in an REI bag. Small Nalgene bottle for my cream and im set for a rally great cup in some of the most perfect settings. I carry fire permit and always check conditions in the area second I carry or make coffee next to a source of water.I hike out my grounds.
